Set up your web cam on Debian Etch

The Spca5xx WebCam Driver
A list of supported devices can be found here: http://moinejf.free.fr/webcam.html
Install the necessary packages:
# aptitude install module-assistant spca5xx-source camorama
Plugg in your web camera into the USB port.
# m-a auto-install spca5xx # modprobe spca5xx
Test your cam:
$ camorama

# aptitude install module-assistant ov51x-jpeg-source camorama
Plugg in your web camera into the USB port.
# m-a auto-install ov51x-jpeg # modprobe ov51x-jpeg
Test your cam:
$ camorama
Easy Cam
?EasyCam is a software for an automated webcam installation. Thanks to the autodetection it will install the needed driver for your webcam. There are lists of the autodetected webcams. The source code is here. For some people it seemes to work.
