Introducing Debian Classic with RPI4

Last time, I used Intel NUC to build Debian Classic which is fine but I wanted to use RPI4.

Back in 2021, I was able to install Debian 11 on RPI4 with Argon ONE M.2 Case

Wouldn't it be nice if I can rebuild Debian Classic with RPI4 + SSD Bracket?

The Drive

Apparently, it's a lot easier to boot RPI4 from USB or SSD Drive now. Here are a few articles you can use:

The benefit is the performance. I was only getting aroud 40 MB/sec with microSD card.

Now, I'm getting close to 200 MB/sec with SSD drive.

The OS

Of course, I'm going to install the latest Debian 12.2.

As of now, you can install one of Debian 12 Tested Images for RPI4 and upgrad to Debian 12.2

The Bracket

I found this nice Bracket fits perfect with SSD drive and RPI4.

The Inside

It looks stable and less clutter with the Bracket.

The Battery

Eventually, I'll move this battery inside the case. For now, I like the fact I can power both LCD and RPI4 from outside.

The Outside

Here is the final look. I just printed the Raspberry Pi logo myself.
