Coordination and packaging work of Planner in Debian (PTS, ITA: 632993)

    • Review the library libplanner-1. Done.

      1. The library: "libplanner-1.so.0.0.0" seems to be for exclusive internal
         use of the developers of planner instead of a "public library":

         1. "... internal api for planner..."

         2. There are no know third party plugins

         3. API changes without soname bump

      2. If this is right, we need to move libplanner-1.so.0.0.0 in order to comply with
         Debian Policy 10.2: "...not public libraries...should be installed in subdirectories of the /usr/lib directory ..."

      3. Check this with upstream. (see this thread)

      4. The library, in the debian package, was moved to a subdirectoy of /usr/lib

    • Fix the path to the license in debian/copyright Done.

    • Record all the changes in the debian/changelog Done (2011-11-04)

    • check if X-Python-Version is needed

    • Review the change to dh_python2 (Reference Transition to DHPython2)

    • Review our build process using those: "Build Instructions" and "New build instructions" as reference

    • Review the split of the package Done -- JosueAbarca 2011-11-08

    • Add the VCS information to debian/control

    • Fix the RC bugs
