Mastodon

Mastodon is a federated social network for microblogging, which uses free software.

It federates with GNU Social and other networks using ?ActivityPub protocol, so users there can follow @debian@framapiaf.org (https://framapiaf.org/@debian) and get the news and interact easily.

@debian@framapiaf.org is a non-official account which retransmits the micronews.debian.org RSS feed for the ?ActivityPub fediverse, maintained by LauraArjona (password stored in the Publicity Team infrastructure).

GNU Social (former StatusNet)

GNU Social is a federated social network for microblogging, which uses free software (GNU Social, former ?StatusNet).

People using GNU Social can follow @debian@framapiaf.org (the Mastodon account).

There were two non official Debian groups in the fediverse. The URLs for both groups now fail to resolve, however.

@debconf is a non-official account maintained by Donald Norwood, Martin Zobel-Helas, Rhonda D'Vine and Neil McGovern. The associated mail is press@debconf.org

@planetdebian is a non-official account maintained by Raphaël Hertzog. It syndicates all posts from Planet Debian.

?LinkedIn is a business oriented centralized network, which uses non-free software. It is owned by Microsoft.

The Debian page is non-official. It is used by ?LinkedIn Member as a link from their Resume/Profile, to display their affilation.

It reposts automatically the content from https://micronews.debian.org/feeds/feed.rss and https://www.debian.org/security/dsa
