New Member Front Desk
Role description
The Front Desk is the team that runs the New Member process and supports DAM. Current members of the Front Desk are shown on the Debian Organization Structure page. You can contact the Front Desk at nm@debian.org or at #debian-newmaint at @oftc IRC.
Activities of the team include:
- Acting as points of contact and support for Application Managers, applicants, advocates and everyone involved in the New Member process
- Assigning AMs to applicants
Done via the NM interface
Dealing with requests for temporary porter accounts
Request come in via the nm@ alias, and are approved by opening a ticket to RT
Checking AM reports for consistency and handing them over to DAM
Notifications arrive via the nm@ alias and are handled via the NM interface
- Ensuring that the NM process runs smooth
Managing the New Member web interface, database, mailing aliases and other infrastructure
