Can one build capacity building through a similar process than the nm process?

A 'new designer' process can be split into two parts. It is meant to guide and inform, be fun and be completed with the help of a mentor - like the nm process.
The first part can be for absolute beginners, and is simpler and can create a sort of a 'front door' to a very bottom-up project. - this is sortof what I had in mind with this wiki: https://wiki.debian.org/NewDebian
The second part can be more involved, more similar to the nm process, and be specialised for specific roles. We can start with the simpler one and design the more specialised process over time.
