Task description

The goal of this team is to get as much of the Android SDK and development tools into Debian as possible. There are many advantages to having the SDK and tools in Debian, rather than relying only on the Google distributions:

  • easy install and update channel that all Debian users already know
  • automatic trustworthy downloads, no need to verify hash sums
  • eliminate need for insecure wrapper scripts, like ./gradlew
