Background: I have been playing and learning about opensource since I was 15 unfortunately I've never had the chance to participate within any project. Currently I'm studying a career in Computer Sciences at Mexico City at National Polytechnic Institute (IPN). I do have some programming skills, also learning new languages is not a problem for me, my preferred language is C but I can also do Java, Python, php and even if i DONT like it .NET. I'm not an expert scripting in bash but i know how it works, I've been developing some web interfaces mainly for school projects using jquery and codeigniter frameworks. Have heard about django and pyramid, I'm aware about their capabilities but I haven't used them myself. I've been working with Linux for almost 5 years, but I'd love to learn more about it, i think that I don't know so much about Linux internals but one of my personal goals is to learn how it works. I'm always open to learn anything new and when it comes to teach other people what I've learned I just enjoy it. I have been working with Virtual Machines for some time, and I think that I could make something else than just setting up some machines. It seems very attractive to me developing an interface to make things easier for other people.

Why Debian?: I love Linux and OpenSource and Debian is both.
Are you applying for other projects in SoC? Well, I'm thinking about applying for joomla, maybe gnome and the honeynet project.
