This event is conducted as a "Rolling Sprint", i.e. it's not about a fixed amount of people sitting in a room for a fixed number of days but an event that extends over the whole !DebConf week with the opportunity for people to "hop on" and "hop off" for one or more days. This makes it easier for interested parties who are new to the Debian l10n Portuguese and also for participants who have more plans for !DebConf than one single area of work.

Format

Inspired by the Perl Group sprint, this will also be conducted as a "Rolling Sprint". Our daily schedule of the will be:

  • A daily coordination meeting after breakfast, where people coordinate the work for this day;
  • people working on their selected tasks over the day, alone, in pairs, in groups;
  • a progress report before or after dinner to summarize and document the results.

Participants are encouraged to be plugged on IRC, even if meeting in-person, to allow remote participation of many other team members who won't be attending DebConf. Depending on consensus among participants, some meetings can be skipped, in order to keep the ratio of working to talk about working at a sensible level.

Infrastructure-wise we don't need anything else but the regular DebConf facilities and hacklabs.
