Status of SELinux on Debian

  • Kernel 2.6 is required for the latest ["SELinux"] code, as well as some patched userspace packages.
  • Kernel 2.6.9 in sid has been compiled with ["SELinux"], but is disabled at boot. Use selinux=1 to enable this feature.
  • libselinux1 needs to be in base for packages such as sysvinit to depend on it. This will not occur intil after the release of Sarge
