Run Time Test Suites

Goal description

Make sure that all packages with priority required and important, which come with an upstream run-time test suite, allow autopkgtest to test it. (See also DEP8). No such packages whose run time test suites fail will be released as part of a Debian stable release.

Current status

• This is missing an advocate
• No packages run upstream run-time test suites using autopkgtest
• Bugs tagged with usertag run-time-test-suite are included in this goal

How to help

• Contribute to standardize DEP8

• Test autopkgtest for bit rot

• Report bug against packages whose run-time test suites fail and tag then with run-time-test-suite
• Fix bugs tagged run-time-test-suite
