How to use NFS on debian
On server:
apt-get install nfs-common nfs-kernel-server
vim /etc/exports
/home 192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0(rw,sync) This will export home directory on 192.168.0.0 subnet.
exportfs -r
/etc/init.d/portmap start
/etc/init.d/nfs-common start
/etc/init.d/nfs-kernel-server start
Do this on client:
showmount -e 192.168.0.100 Assuming ipaddress of your nfs server is 192.168.0.100
mount -t nfs 192.168.0.100:/home /mnt/debian To mount it on a mount point /mnt/debian
