The Debian project is pleased to announce the fifth update of its stable distribution Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 (codename `sarge'). This update mainly adds corrections for security problems to the stable release, along with a few adjustment to serious problems. The old-stable release of Debian GNU/Linux 3.0, codenamed Woody, has been moved to http://archive.debian.org/ recently. Woody was released on 19th of July, 2002, and was obsoleted by Sarge which was released on 6th of June, 2005.
