Whacky Ideas For New Policies

This is an ideas pool for future policies that are not currently implemented. These ideas are not currently implemented and are not part of official Debian policy.

Note

Before you put your random idea here, make sure that :

  • The Policy can actually be enforced at Debian level. (Debian isn't just going to ask the whole open source community to do something according to Debian's policy).

  • You are actually willing to do the work your self, to get your idea through. Do you have spare time ? (search for the word "proposal" in Debian mailing lists).
