Personal configuration for blocking autoplay in firefox.
This article details the current personal configuration used by Kathenas to block autoplay elements in firefox.
Open the configuration.
In the browsers address bar, enter the text below and and press ENTER.
about:config
Click on Accept the Risk and Continue.
In the configuration search bar enter the text autoplay.

Below are the settings that your browser instance should duplicate.
media.autoplay.default = 5 media.autoplay.block-event.enabled = true media.block-autoplay-until-in-foreground = false media.autoplay.allow-extension-background-pages = false media.autoplay.blocking_policy = 2
Note: This will stop autoplay on YouTube, including the autoplaying of playlists. You can easily allow this on a site by site basis via the address bar if you desire.
