Debian is participating in the 6th Round of the Free & Open Source Software Outreach Women Program.
Background
Debian has been encouraging women to work in the project for years. Statistics show that although we have increased women in number, that's not enough. With this initiative we hope we can encourage more women to go into our project.
For who
Any woman who has not previously participated in an Outreach Program for Women or Google Summer of Code and is not yet a a Debian Developer nor a Debian Maintainer. There is no restriction about your age and you don't need to be a student to apply.

This 6th round overlaps with Google Summer of Code -GSoC- and Debian has also applied to participate in this program. If you meet the requirements for applying in GSoC, we encourage you to apply for both projects.
