  • Background: something about yourself: technical skills, experience, etc. Who are you?: When I started to study engineering I had no knowledge about computer and programming. I've done a lot of courses to learn more about the area. Now I know C, Python and Java. I'm very curious and I love challenges. During the university I made a braille printer with mindstorm lego, did and presented a paper at an Education Congress in Canada (CICE), contributed with a J2ME project to embedded cell phone, did an exchange in Chile and there I did a research there about embedded system and cloud computing. In 2012 I worked in an eletronic transaction company and there I met open source code. My boss was the portuguese translator of Mercurial. All the softwares in the company are open source and I had the chance to contribute for that and learn more about it. Now I'm doing my thesis to finish the engineering course. My thesis is about privacy in a peer-to-peer network. I use a lot of Iptables and python scripts. At the same time, I try to be a member of a gender discuss group in my University, untill November I don't have a lot of time for this because the thesis.

  • Why Debian? Why are you choosing Debian? What attracts you about Debian? : I realized that Debian is an operational system very powerful, free and a lot of people contribute for its improvement. You are never alone with Debian. I want to contribute too.

  • Are you applying for other projects in OPW? Note that letting us know about this does not impact your chances of acceptance or rejection with us; we ask this because it helps us to resolve deduplications wherein an applicant is accepted for multiple projects.: No
