  • Please describe your experience with Debian as a user and as a contributor (Please include the information about the required contribution you made to the project you are interested in here): I am new to opensource and this was my very first contribution to an opensource project.I learned allot while doing the contributory task.My task was to make test cases for some functions(as per debian mentor's instruction).   • Will you have any other time commitments, such as school work, another job, planned vacation, etc., between December 10, 2013 and March 10, 2014?: I'll be busy from 11-20 Dec for my semester exams after which Ill have my winter holidays till 10th Feb.My classes will start from 10th Feb,but still I will be able to devote 30 - 35 hours a week as I wont be so busy at that time.

  • Background: something about yourself: technical skills, experience, etc. Who are you?: I am a second year engineering student.Before I joined an engineering inistitute I had no knowledge of any computer languages but now I know c/c++,some basics of R and beginner level python.I have interest as well as some knowledge about the financial world.I have some little knowledge of algo trading as well. I am also very much interested in data science.My seniors introduced me to the opensource world and I always believed that contributing to an opensource project is the best way to improve your skills and learn more.

  • Why Debian? Why are you choosing Debian? What attracts you about Debian? : As a newbie to Debian community what I could feel was that Debian community is full of friendly and helping people who make and improve really good softwares .I would really like to be a part of such community.
