Write stuff about other things than being a DebianDeveloper , but maybe advocate being one. --MattHawkins

Applications to become a DebianDeveloper go through the ?NewMaintainerProcess (which can take up to a year -- or more. YHBW).

The fact is, as a DebianDeveloper you can take part in the movement in an active way. There are many reasons to become a DebianDeveloper, but the greatest is definitely that you use your influence to make things change, instead of being a passive user.

This is the next step, after being an active user (someone who makes bug reports, express's wishes, tests beta releases, ...). --MichelNolard
