I find the eee line of netbooks from Asus very interesting, so I've gained access to one of these little buggers. This one's a 701SD, which seems to be quite popular around here; most likely because of the price/performance ratio compared to other eee's. Unfortunately, the SD variant appears to come with a wlan interface that's new to the eee line. So to make the thing useful, this interface must be added to debianeee.

Alas, here I am :)

Since this is a personal page, I'd better give you some personal info:

I live in Denmark, work with embedded devices in the industry (programming the little buggers) and like the idea of freely shareable source code. I find the community around debian to be a very nice and welcoming one, crowded with programming savvy people - hackers in the most positive sense of the word.

Every single personal computer I own runs Debian Linux - including a tiny Linksys NSLU2, an IBM Thinkpad 701 (funny coincidence...) A4-sized mininotebook dated somewhere around 1995 and a Sun Ultra5 sparc workstation.
