This is an organization node for http://www.linuxworldexpo.com/live/12/events/["12SFO04A"/ ?LinuxWorld Conference & Expo - San Francisco 2004] from August 3-5.
Main concerns
Organize ?CDs, promotional material with Bryan (see debian-events-na)
- Involve people in manning the booth (they should be people who know how to talk about Debian)
- Computers to bring in - esoteric architectures?
Joshua Kwan has a ?SS10
- Hans Uhlig has a Bondi Blue Imac, and Hardware to Spare
- Don Armstrong has a powerbook g4 with him and will likely bring in a i386 with monitor.
- Fast i386 to fight the Gentoo people :P
Resources
The DebianCheatSheet provides some helpful facts for booth volunteers for answering visitors' questions.
Booth staffing timetable
August 2 - SETUP 10AM-6PM
All we need on this day are people to set up the booth. This will involve:
- Putting up posters
- Setting up machines to do fun cool eye-candyish things (frame-buffers are a good idea)
- Setting up the rest of the promotional materials
Hans is going to take care of as much as he can when he gets there at 10am. More people are welcome to come - sign up below.
Volunteers:
?[LWCESFVolunteers] is the list of people who have expressed interest in volunteering to work in the Booth
Hans Uhlig will be coordinating all 4 days, so if you have questions pleese contact him at deathguard AT yahoo.com with the subject Prefix.

Please leave your email somewhere (spamprotect it) if you volunteer for a time slot so we can get in contact with you.
