Because i'm not familiar with MoinMoin syntax, and the following text will be under construction for the time being, i will first use this personal page as testing area for myself.
Installing and Using Debian Squeeze/Frozen with KDE
Though i would call me an (more or less) experienced UN*X user, the following notes partly will be written for and under the point of view of a computer (or at least GNU/Linux) novice. My native language is german, so please feel free to correct mistakes.
Here you can view the hardware configuration of the computer used for the following description1:

Installation
I didn't check, but i assume that the installation was straight forward as explained in the official manual. The one thing where i didn't choose the default was in the task selection where i deselected the Desktop environment.2

Footnotes
These lists are very technical but therefore exact and detailed. (1)
There is a part of an operating system known as Desktop environment which is something like the cockpit of a car, or, just, the computer synonym for your table desktop. There are a lot of different "cockpits" you can choose, but the most widespread are known as GNOME and KDE SC. I deselected Desktop Environment in the above mentioned task selection because Debians default is to use GNOME whereas i want KDE SC which i will install separately afterwards. (2)
