DebianOn is an effort to document how to install, configure and use Debian on some specific hardware. Therefore potential buyers would know if that hardware is supported and owners would know how get the best out of that hardware.

The purpose is not to duplicate the Debian Official Documentation, but to document how to install Debian on some specific hardware.

If you need help to get Debian running on your hardware, please have a look at our user support channels where you may find specific channels (mailing list, IRC channel) dedicated to certain types of hardware.

Important Note

Before install change the following in bios:

Installation here was done by debian-9.3.0-amd64-netinst.iso burned on DVD.
Start device with DVD in external DVD drive connected to USB port.
During install following firmware parts was needed on USB stick to get network active:

During install I selected in tasksel minimum to be

Firmware currently in use:

After first installation I upgraded to Debian Testing to get better processor support in kernel.
Not good, I found kernel 4.14.0-3 to be unstable, and only max resolution to be 1024x768.

On second installation I stay with Debian Stable.
As I read hyper-threading it now supported in kernel by microcode, to I have turned this on again in BIOS.

Stable kernel 4.9.0-6 dmesg

Interesting part in dmesg.

Unsure what this is, but as I read on google it is due to old ACPI settings used in BIOS, no negative impact.
