DebianOn is an effort to document how to install, configure and use Debian on some specific hardware. Therefore potential buyers would know if that hardware is supported and owners would know how get the best out of that hardware. The purpose is not to duplicate the Debian Official Documentation, but to document how to install Debian on some specific hardware. If you need help to get Debian running on your hardware, please have a look at our user support channels where you may find specific channels (mailing list, IRC channel) dedicated to certain types of hardware. |

Legend :
= OK ;
Unsupported(No Driver) ;
= Error (Couldn't get it working); [?] Unknown, Not Test ; [-] Not-applicable
= Configuration Required;
= Only works with a non-free driver and or firmware
Important Note
Have to skip network installation because stock kernel with 5.0.3 (2.6.26-2) does not support ethernet card (e1000e).
Unless otherwise noted kernel used is 2.6.32-bpo.2-686 kernel because wireless and ethernet do not work otherwise.
Configuration
Ethernet
Use e1000e, did not work with 2.6.26-2-686 kernel, works with 2.6.32-bpo.2-686.
Display
Did not work with intel, works with vesa with limited resolution.
Audio
Intel HD Audio, must mute IEC958 if using analog output (eg. laptop speakers).
Power Management
Suspend to disk works in console and X/vesa.
Suspend to RAM resumes with blank screen - both console and X/vesa.
Standby not supported.
WiFi
Follow instructions for iwlagn.
Bluetooth
Needs toshset to enable Bluetooth (disabled by default), could not get it to work, errors with missing kernel module.
