DebianOn is an effort to document how to install, configure and use Debian on some specific hardware. Therefore potential buyers would know if that hardware is supported and owners would know how get the best out of that hardware. The purpose is not to duplicate the Debian Official Documentation, but to document how to install Debian on some specific hardware. If you need help to get Debian running on your hardware, please have a look at our user support channels where you may find specific channels (mailing list, IRC channel) dedicated to certain types of hardware. |

Important Note
It works with Debian Bullseye and Bookworm but some drivers only exist for Bookworm, namely for the wifi card.
I had issues in setting up the wifi card, the touchpad (but not the trackpoint), sound and the graphics card.
The BIOS needs to be configured to be compatible with debian/linux. I also disabled secureboot but it may be possible to keep it on.
Configuration
Display
The proprietary driver (i915) is needed for the display to work well. After installing, I was able to adjust the screen solution, etc.
Audio
I had to install firmware-sof-signed to get the audio to work.
Mouse
The tracking point (red ball in the middle of the keyboard) works out of the box (Bullseye and Bookworm) but not the touchpad. It may be necessary to install xserver-xorg-input-libinput.
Power Management
- (not covered yet)
WiFi
The laptop apparently uses a AX211 wifi card, whose driver (firmware-iwlwifi) requires a recent kernel. I couldn't get it to work with Bullseye, only Bookworm.
Modem
