DebianOn is an effort to document how to install, configure and use Debian on some specific hardware. Therefore potential buyers would know if that hardware is supported and owners would know how get the best out of that hardware.

The purpose is not to duplicate the Debian Official Documentation, but to document how to install Debian on some specific hardware.

If you need help to get Debian running on your hardware, please have a look at our user support channels where you may find specific channels (mailing list, IRC channel) dedicated to certain types of hardware.

Configuration

Display

Fn = F1/F2 changes the brightness well. Can play youtube videos. Not very well tested.

Audio

No audio! Pulseaudio doesn't to see the builtin analog output and alsa can't put sound in the output speaker either.

Mouse

Touchpad seems to work well, although touch to click wasn't tested.

Power Management

pm-supend suspends, but resuming reboots the machine.

WiFi

firmware-iwlwifi package from non-free required, at least on wheezy.

Modem

Keyboard

For canada-french speakers, which require the right alt-key to be properly mapped to type @ characters, you may need to add this to your ~/.Xmodmap file:

keycode 100 = ISO_Level3_Shift

That is the key right of the space bar. The next key to the right is 101 if you prefer that one.

Otherwise the machine works really nicely in wheezy.
