DebianOn is an effort to document how to install, configure and use Debian on some specific hardware. Therefore potential buyers would know if that hardware is supported and owners would know how get the best out of that hardware.

The purpose is not to duplicate the Debian Official Documentation, but to document how to install Debian on some specific hardware.

If you need help to get Debian running on your hardware, please have a look at our user support channels where you may find specific channels (mailing list, IRC channel) dedicated to certain types of hardware.

Audio

Audio device: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP HD Audio (rev 21) Subsystem: Lenovo Sunrise Point-LP HD Audio

Speakers work out of the box but internal inverted microphone volume is very low. As a workaround, the volume of the microphone can be raised by configuring different volume levels for the left and right channels:

pactl set-source-volume 1 0% 100%

External microphone and headphones work out of the box.

Mouse

The touchpad works out of the box.

IntelĀ® Wireless 3165

Kernel version must be updated to version 4.1 at least.

Install the package firmware-iwlwifi

apt-get install firmware-iwlwifi

Download the latest firmware for the card from the website https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/en/users/drivers/iwlwifi#firmware and copy the files iwlwifi-7265-13.ucode and iwlwifi-7265D-13.ucode into /lib/firmware/.
cp iwlwifi-7265-13.ucode iwlwifi-7265D-13.ucode /lib/firmware/
