DebianOn is an effort to document how to install, configure and use Debian on some specific hardware. Therefore potential buyers would know if that hardware is supported and owners would know how get the best out of that hardware.

The purpose is not to duplicate the Debian Official Documentation, but to document how to install Debian on some specific hardware.

If you need help to get Debian running on your hardware, please have a look at our user support channels where you may find specific channels (mailing list, IRC channel) dedicated to certain types of hardware.

Important Note

Issues reported against Linux kernel 6.5 regarding non-functional built-in keyboard and touchpad don't apply to current default Linux 6.12, no BIOS update etc. required.

Configuration

Display

Wayland (default) uses build-in display with full resolution, no issues with copy or extended desktop mode using external monitor, OpenGL support: AMD Radeon 610M (radeonsi, raphael_mendocino, LLVM 19.1.7, DRM 3.61, 6.12.90+deb13.1-amd64)

Audio

integrated sound works, configurable for use of

Mouse

desktop pointer works by touchpad, external mice hot-plugged (via USB-A-connector or Bluetooth) too

Power Management

works with energy/ performance default settings "balanced",
sufficiently capable PSU at the (only) USB-C port charges device as well

WiFi

works including on-off by plane-mode switch equally well via desktop and <plane>-hotkey
