DebianOn is an effort to document how to install, configure and use Debian on some specific hardware. Therefore potential buyers would know if that hardware is supported and owners would know how get the best out of that hardware. The purpose is not to duplicate the Debian Official Documentation, but to document how to install Debian on some specific hardware. If you need help to get Debian running on your hardware, please have a look at our user support channels where you may find specific channels (mailing list, IRC channel) dedicated to certain types of hardware. |

= Only works with a non-free driver and or firmware
Important Note
Probably easiest to install (jessie) using netinst non-free. Can be installed using standard netinst using ethernet.
There is currently a bug that the touchpad gets jittery for a few seconds occasionally. More of an annoyance than a serious issue.
Configuration
Display
Enable jessie-backports main and non-free, and install the following packages to get the video working properly:
libdrm-intel1 firmware-misc-nonfree libdrm-amdgpu1 libdrm2 libegl1-mesa libegl1-mesa-drivers libgl1-mesa-dri libgl1-mesa-glx libglapi-mesa libgles1-mesa libgles2-mesa libwayland-egl1-mesa xserver-xorg-video-intel linux-image-4.6.0-0.bpo.1-amd64
Audio
- Works OOTB.
Mouse
- Works OOTB (Elantech touchpad)
Power Management
- Works properly after installing linux-image-4.6.0-0.bpo.1-amd64 from jessie-backports
WiFi
- Works properly after installing linux-image-4.6.0-0.bpo.1-amd64 from jessie-backports.
rtlwifi_new (https://github.com/lwfinger/rtlwifi_new) works with default kernel and is also faster.
Modem
- N/A
