The purpose is not to duplicate the Debian Official Documentation, but to document how to install Debian on some specific hardware.

How to enable WiFi

  1. Add wheezy-backports to /etc/apt/sources.list.

  2. To install the current backported kernel and RT3290 firmware:

    # aptitude -t wheezy-backports install linux-image-`uname -r|sed 's,[^-]*-[^-]*-,,'` firmware-ralink
  3. Restart the system to use the newly installed Linux kernel.
