DebianOn is an effort to document how to install, configure and use Debian on some specific hardware. Therefore potential buyers would know if that hardware is supported and owners would know how get the best out of that hardware. The purpose is not to duplicate the Debian Official Documentation, but to document how to install Debian on some specific hardware. If you need help to get Debian running on your hardware, please have a look at our user support channels where you may find specific channels (mailing list, IRC channel) dedicated to certain types of hardware. |

Important Note
This model has no ethernet port. Wifi is too recent to be supported by Debian Bullseye Installer.
Keys at boot:
- F2 : Diagnostics
- F8 : ?
- F9 : Boot Menu
- F10 : BIOS/UEFI Settings
Configuration
Display
AMD GPU requires a recent kernel and non-free firmware.
Audio
Works.
Mouse
Touchpad has no buttons, so no right/middle click.
Power Management
Suspend works after graphics & wifi fixed, not before.
WiFi
Requires:
- Kernel from backports (currently, 5.15)
- firmware-realtek (from non-free repositories)
UEFI
The UEFI with Secure Boot on this HP model is missing an option to add a boot entry for Debian after it is installed.
As a workaround, you will need to hit F9 at boot, and navigate to find the EFI file the system will boot with.
