Hi! |

'''Namespace considerations''': * Page title is very important for search engines (when ranking a page). So page names shouldn't use !CamelCase, but Camel_Case, or Camel/Case (Try googling `"Front Page" site:wiki.debian.org` versus `"FrontPage" site:wiki.debian.org`) * moinmoin wiki only search keyword in titles by default, so Installing_Debian_On/Dell/Latitude_D620 has more change to match than D620) * The namespace is how people understand the site organisation (especially when doing a search). * some wiki features might work with !DebianOnThinkpadT60 but not with Debian_On_Thinkpad_T60 or with Debian/On/Thinkpad/T60 (like moving page, deleting parent page, managing attachment, finding !PageFragment, using buil-in search ...) -- FranklinPiat [[DateTime(2007-05-28T23:28:01Z)]]---- |
One basic question: On debian-user (Message-ID: <20090226025007.GA17955@SDF.LONESTAR.ORG>) , someone posted a link to a fairly complete and long lenny installation report on his Dell Inspiron 8600 (Link is: http://eclectic.freeshell.org/debian-8600.html) |

That's it. The four first pages are created, which makes the basic structure of !DebianOn. * [:DebianOn/FrontPage:FrontPage] * [:DebianOn/HowToContribute:How To Contribute] Plus two sample page for [DebianOnThinkpad] and [DebianOnThinkpadT60]. |
I wonder if it is okay to just say: "This laptop basically works fine. For detailled information, visit: <Link>"? |

The "Installing Debian On" wiki pages are a place where people can collaborate on the guide (like any wiki page;). Note that each vendor page, like [[InstallingDebianOn/HP]] have some links to Tuxmobile and linux-on-laptop. Those [excellent] sites are the right place to publish such links, IMO. -- FranklinPiat <<DateTime(2009-02-26T07:13:54Z)>> ---- Hi! I'd like to add some inslallation notes about Lenovo B560. There is Thinkpad Category for Lenovo notebooks, but B560 is not Thinkpad. See http://shop.lenovo.com/us/products/laptops/.
