DebianOn is an effort to document how to install, configure and use Debian on some specific hardware. Therefore potential buyers would know if that hardware is supported and owner would know how get the best out of that hardware.

The purpose is not to duplicate the Debian Official Documentation, but to document how to install Debian on some specific hardware.

Resume after suspend does not work out of the box, using the open source nvidia X driver (provided by package xserver-xorg-video-nv). Kernel does not hang, but video does not wake up, and seems to require reboot. Still responds to keypress events, so it is possible to switch to a console via Cntrl-Alt-F2, then reboot with Cntrl-Alt-Delete, rather than a hard reboot.

However, when I install the binary/proprietary nvidia driver (apt-get install nvidia-glx nvidia-kernel-2.6-amd64), resume does work reliably. Incidentally, these are the settings for it in /etc/X11/xorg.conf:
