DebianOn is an effort to document how to install, configure and use Debian on some specific hardware. Therefore potential buyers would know if that hardware is supported and owners would know how get the best out of that hardware. The purpose is not to duplicate the Debian Official Documentation, but to document how to install Debian on some specific hardware. If you need help to get Debian running on your hardware, please have a look at our user support channels where you may find specific channels (mailing list, IRC channel) dedicated to certain types of hardware. |

Configuration
Display
The display adapter is
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Mobilitiy Radeon HD 3400 Series
Surprisingly (or not ?), the radeonhd driver gave me a grey jittery screen. But it works with the ati driver. I can get KWin's compositing features through XRender, but no ?OpenGl with this driver.
Audio
The sound adapter is
01:00.1 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc RV620 Audio device [Radeon HD 34xx Series]
It works out of the box with the snd-hda-intel kernel module.
Mouse (Touch Pad)
Works out of the box.
Power Management
Hibernation and suspend works out of the box.
WiFi
The Wifi adapter is
0c:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4310 USB Controller (rev 01)
This device is not yet suppported by the b43 module, I could get it working by using ndiswrapper with the bcmwl5.inf file provided in this archive (see the ndiswrapper wiki).
There is official driver avaible at broadcom official page. You can also install it using module-assistant. Module name is wl.
Just follow these steps:
aptitude install broadcom-sta-source m-a a-i broadcom-sta-source
