DebianOn is an effort to document how to install, configure and use Debian on some specific hardware. Therefore potential buyers would know if that hardware is supported and owners would know how get the best out of that hardware.

The purpose is not to duplicate the Debian Official Documentation, but to document how to install Debian on some specific hardware.

If you need help to get Debian running on your hardware, please have a look at our user support channels where you may find specific channels (mailing list, IRC channel) dedicated to certain types of hardware.

Configuration

Display

Display adapters:

Works out of the box with nouveau drivers.

{i} The system hangs on startup when trying to use nvidia drivers with bumblebee. Add acpi_rev_override=5 to boot parameters and then follow Bumblebee installation.

Audio

Intel Corporation CM238 HD Audio Controller: works out of the box.

Mouse

Works out of the box

{i} Some acpi options in the boot parameters make the touchpad and the trackpoint unusable (acpi_rev_override=5 has not such a side effect).

Power Management

Hibernation works.

{i} Sometimes the mouse does not work after wake up, but an other sleep/wake up cycle usually fix it.

{i} CUDA applications running while going into sleep will prevent any other CUDA application to run until reboot.

WiFi

Working out of the box

Modem
