Important Note
Before installing it is necessary to modify some UEFI Settings. They can be accessed by pressing the F2 key while the DELL logo is displayed at boot until a blue bar appears on the screen.
Change the SATA Mode from the default "RAID" to "AHCI". This will allow Linux to detect the NVMe SSD.
There is currently a bug that means that some kernels (particularly newer ones) will detect the wrong ACPI revision. If you have odd problems with the display, or with just running lspci then you may need to set:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="acpi_rev_override=5"
in /etc/default/grub. There are several variants of this advice, so if that doesn't work for you then perhaps try:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX='acpi_osi=! acpi_osi="Windows 2009"'
