DebianOn is an effort to document how to install, configure and use Debian on some specific hardware. Therefore potential buyers would know if that hardware is supported and owners would know how get the best out of that hardware.

The purpose is not to duplicate the Debian Official Documentation, but to document how to install Debian on some specific hardware.

If you need help to get Debian running on your hardware, please have a look at our user support channels where you may find specific channels (mailing list, IRC channel) dedicated to certain types of hardware.

Important Note

There is no RJ-45 interface and wireless doesn't work out of the box. I plugged an USB eth adapter during install.

This laptop is easy serviceable: just 10 screws to remove the bottom panel (no seals broken). I added a 128GB M.2 nvme module and left the wifi module (easily replaceable). UEFI detected the new drive and I just disabled secure boot.

I installed Bullseye (debian testing) using the netinst CD on an USB stick.

Install was fast and easy and everything but wireless worked out of the box. This laptop comes with a Realtek RTL8821CE NIC. There's a firmware-realtek package in the repositories but support just entered mainline kernel and right now it's not working. The wirless card can be easily replaced but there's a simpler workaround installing tomaspinho/rtl8821cea driver from github and blacklisting the kernel bugged module.

Keybard, shortcut, audio, webcam, suspend all work fine. Battery life should be rather good while performance is as expected for a <300€ lightweight passive cooled laptop.

Sorry for the incomplete report but this is my parents laptop, I just installed it and checked if everything was fine.
