DebianOn is an effort to document how to install, configure and use Debian on some specific hardware. Therefore potential buyers would know if that hardware is supported and owners would know how get the best out of that hardware. The purpose is not to duplicate the Debian Official Documentation, but to document how to install Debian on some specific hardware. If you need help to get Debian running on your hardware, please have a look at our user support channels where you may find specific channels (mailing list, IRC channel) dedicated to certain types of hardware. |

Important Note
First thing to do is load into the BIOS and change the SCSI setup from AHCI to IDE, this is especially needed if you plan to use Dual booting with the pre installed Vista. I have found that this is needed even just running Linux for the CDROM to work correctly.
- All testing has been done under Debian 5.0.3 with Kernel version 2.6.30-1-amd64 #1 SMP Sat Aug 15 18:09:19 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Not Working
- When going from battery to AC or AC to battery backlight does not adjust, Gnome will show a notification that it is changing the brightness but the brightness does not change.
Showing the correct time of battery power left in Gnome Power Manager, as theses laptop are suppose to have 8+ battery life. And by the looks of it ACPI seems to be off as well.
