Important Note

To install Debian on this machine the kernel needs to be of the 2.6 series as the audio, video and built-in wireless NIC card won't function properly or at all. Debian "testing" aka "Lenny" must be installed for everything to function properly.

WiFi

If you need wifi to work, you must have the uucode firmware file handy either during or after installation. If uucode file is iwlwifi-3945-2.ucode you must rename it to iwlwifi-3945-1.ucode in order for wifi hardware to work. Put iwlwifi-3945-1.ucode in /lib/firmware/.
