The primary aim of this event is to set guidelines for architectures (or kernel/CPU architecture combinations) that should have priority to enter/stay in the archive before the SCC architecture is implemented, considering the costs of hosting each one.

Some discussion of how to do the mirror split might also happen. :)

This meeting was proposed by aj on [[http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2005/12/msg00014.html|Archive architecture qualification]]. This announce follows the [[http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2005/12/msg00013.html|announce of the disqualification from release of 4 Linux ports (arm, m68k, s390, sparc)]] after the Etch architecture requalification process, which also confirmed that amd64 is going to be an official arch in Etch.
