In Freeciv the player has to help a civilization to survive other civilizations. The goal of the game is either to be the first civilization to reach the star system Alpha Centauri or to eliminate other rivals, but the military way is the most unproductive one. The game is designed to create a friendly and democratic state, which is supposed to conquer outer space.
