GNUnet is a peer-to-peer framework which focuses on providing security. All link-to-link messages in the network are confidential and authenticated. GNUnet provides a file-sharing protocol, GNS (a secure pet-name replacement for DNS), VPN, and other distributed services.
To create a peer install the gnunet package. Your peer will generate its peer ID and join the network. Add any users that wish to use GNUnet to the gnunet group.
A GTK+ GUI is available in the gnunet-gtk package.
A User Handbook is available on the main GNUnet website.
