### So you'd like to edit this page? Please read this first!
##############################################
###
### The most common reason people edit this page seems to
### be when they're creating some new awesome page in the
### wiki, and don't know where to link it to. "So", they think, "let's stick
### it on the front page, then it will get lots of exposure and become
### even better."
###
### One problem with this plan is that your new awesome page
### is probably incomplete, needs polishing, and is not ready
### to be one click away from the front page of the Debian wiki.
### The content on this front page reflects on the Debian project;
### we don't need lots of links to half-completed pages here.
###
### The other problem with this plan is that if everyone does that, the
### front page becomes an ungodly mess, that no-one reads. This has
### happened several times, and been cleaned up by _deleting_
### lots of links. To avoid that happening to your link, try to find other
### relevant pages to link to it instead. If such a page doesn't exist,
### create one. For example, if you've written a tip about configuring
### $SOME_PROGRAM in Debian, don't slap a link to it onto the
### front page. Instead, look for a page listing such tips, and add
### your page to it. If such a tips page doesn't exist, create one, and
### move any other tips from the front page to it. Make the wiki better
### organised, not just bigger!
###
### Thank you for reading this and for contributing to the wiki.
