Biometrical Authentication in Debian
The Debian Biometrical Authentication Force is a team responsible for init works related with fingerprint authentication and other biometrical works in Debian.
Current Status
The works are still in the initial stage. There are a few links that can help in this stage. At this moment a modified fvs is able to recognize fingerprints. There are efforts packaging libfprint and writing an authentication daemon.
TODO
- Look for drivers/scanners/finger recognition/pam modules available to be included in Debian and package them.
Do a modular design for all works to get it easy to add new drivers/scanners. See the proposal. (Obsolete, wait for the new one)
- Send a mail to debian-devel announcing this.
