Feeling I had to give something back, I joined the DebianInstaller project, at first with translations and with ambitions to take the idea of a ["DebianInstaller/GUI"] and turn it into reality. I have been giving a little part of my free time to the D-I effort and also other Debian subprojects.

Until that, I added a patch to os-prober so that it better detects what Microsoft operating system is installed. You can find the bug at http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=275882 .

Recently Martin (Joey) Schultze asked about the status of the graphical installer (http://lists.debian.org/debian-boot/2004/09/msg01892.html ). This was mentioned in Debian Weekly news (http://www.debian.org/News/weekly/2004/39/ ).

The bad news is that I didn't got to speak with cjwatson (see the news) about me wanting to participating to this project.

I will look for him.
