Description
NawaOS is built from the ground up with gamers in mind, requiring no prior Linux experience. It is optimized to run efficiently with minimal resource usage, featuring Zram compressed memory, Preload adaptive prefetching, and SSD optimizations (noatime mount).
Version 1.4 (January 2026) introduces a unified NawaOS Control Panel that centralizes Gaming, Power, Network, Appearance, Drivers, and Updates in one hub. It also adds Game Performance Mode (one-click CPU/GPU/I/O optimization), ?XanMod kernel installer with BORE scheduler, NTSYNC for improved Wine/Proton gaming, PipeWire low-latency gaming audio, vkBasalt & GOverlay post-processing (FSR/CAS), handheld gaming device support, Btrfs snapshots with Timeshift, Auto-CPUFreq, Conky gaming desktop monitor, and expanded emulator support via Flatpak.
