Dit pagina is hevig in verandering. [as the whole Debian reality evolves], please contribute to it. For discussion about this page go to ["DebianKnowledgeBase/Discussion"].
This is the starting of a project that has got the aim to collect all the documentation about Debian. For now the idea is just to add links here, each one having a review. All the links must be put in one category.
See also DebianResources. It is somewhat a duplicate of this, I'm planning to join the two pages --PaoloPan

Debian Specific
Non Interactive Documentation
There are quite a lot of pieces of documentation that someone has written. It is a good choice if you want to learn a certain topic (such as how to use bash, how to configure samba, what apt is, etc.).
Officielle website
Op [http://www.debian.org Debian.org] official Debian site you can find a section dedicated to documentation (intended for users, as far as i know). The starting point is http://www.debian.org/doc/. It collects thousands of pages of Debian related infos, but only the brave can found what they are looking for :-?. You can find interesting the [http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/reference Debian Reference] and the [http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/installmanual Installation Manual]. It collects some information on APT dpkg, and friends (that is the package management system), some other Debian specific infos, and a lot of generic Linux related chapters. Beside documentation there are other support sources, you can find them [http://www.debian.org/support here], many of them are listed here too. On debian.org site is issued a [http://www.debian.org/News weekly news page] collecting informations on the main events of the week and reporting about packages bugs and novelties.
wiki.debian.org
At the moment the wiki (that is hosting this page) is quite messy IMHO, but maybe some fresh infos can be found only here.
Single package information
Package Description
In the package description you can find some usefule information, like a short description of the package, a link to the original website, a list of files contained and more. The pakcage description can be accessed at the url http://packages.debian.org/<package-name>.
Package attached documentation
One of the best place to look for help about a single package or application is to read stuff in /usr/share/doc/<package-name>. This is documentation written by developers or package maintainer. It is quite concise, but usually remarks most common problems and solutions.

Interactive Documentation
These are places were you can make a question and probably receive an answer. It is very important to give as much information as possible when making a question. It is very likely that you get a satisfying answer, providing you have been able to make other people understand your problem.
IRC channel
Official Mailing Lists
There is a lot of them. Each of them is focused on a specific topic. You can find a list [http://lists.debian.org/completeindex.html here]. Clicking on a list name you get some information about the list, you can subscribe to it, and read archives. However you don't need to subscribe a list to post to it.
Each list has two addresses:
<listname>@lists.debian.org to which you can send messages .
<listname>-REQUEST@lists.debian.org to which you can send request for subscription and unsubscription. For more info see [http://www.debian.org/MailingLists/index.en.html#subunsub the Debian support page] on debian.org.
You can access to the information about a list on the web using the url http://lists.debian.org/<listname>/
Before posting a question try to find the answer with a search engine like [http://www.google.com Google] and searching in Debian Mailing Lists archive. To do this you can go to [http://lists.debian.org/search.html this] page.
One of the most important lists is [http://lists.debian.org/users.html debian-user]. Here you can discuss about all the problem can arise using Debian. So you can do almost any question here, but if your question is too specific maybe it is better to address it to another list.
Bug tracking system
Many problems' solutions can be found as bug report responses. A search engine for bug reports is found on [http://bugs.debian.org]. Remember that if you want to search in archived (quite old) bugs you must chose "archived bugs" option. If you want to look at bugs of a specific package use http://bugs.debian.org/<package-name>.
Other Mailing Lists & Forums
Some non official places for Debian related discussions:
LocalGroups - this is a list of "geographical" user groups. The page is probably unmantained, but the content can be goog as well.
Generic Linux & Unix Documentation
Here is a short list of place where you can find *nix related documentation.
Please add to this list only universally useful links. For example a page explaining how to install nVidia kernel drivers is not a good idea. -- PaoloPan
[http://www.tldp.org The Linux Documentation Project] - a huge collection of Linux documentation material.
[http://oslab.snu.ac.kr/~djshin/linux/mail-list/] - a list of Linux mailing lists (counting 170+ entries).
