¿Qué hacemos?
Talleres Debian
If you are considering (or already ventured) to visit our country we encourage you to contact us in order to arrange either social or technical events (if you schedule allows) and share knowledge.
We'd be glad to host you in the cities we have members and also to guide you in order to have the best experience of our country (which mandates Pisco shots to begin with).
Travel / Accommodations
There is a lot of information on our DebConf10 wiki page or our bid page. Also, just ask us via IRC.
Hostels/Hotels:
Hostelling International, Upper West Side
NY Loft Hostel, Williamsburg
- NYC Hostels or Broadway Hotel and Hostel (Upper west side)
Airports:
- LGA most convenient for domestic flights. Walk outside the terminal (arrival/baggage claim level), follow the signs to "public buses" (only visible outside). You will come to the MTA bus stop. You want the M60 bus to get to Columbia/Morningside heights area, but other buses connect to subways in Queens. You need to buy a metrocard before you get on: go inside the terminal to the metrocard vending machine there (or, they accept exact change in quarters).
- JFK and EWR (Newark) are about equally convenient for getting to the city, but from JFK can be cheaper if you take a longer route to the city.
