The current DebianStable distribution was developed under the code name Lenny. It was released on Feb 15th, 2009 as Debian GNU/Linux 5.0, prior to which it was the DebianTesting distribution.

  • 2009-02-15 : Initial released : 5.0.0 (press release).

  • 2009-04-11 : Updated (5.0.1) (preparation; press release).
