This is a page for tracking how DebianInstaller is being used by third parties in custom images and other distributions.
[http://www.skolelinux.no Skolelinux] is a woody-based Debian derivative that was the first distribution to ship with the DebianInstaller. The installer images are not actually modified for Skolelinux, only a couple more udebs are added to the CD. Debian-Edu is the sarge-based update to skolelinux which also used the DebianInstaller. The source to the added udebs is in their svn repository at svn://svn.debian.org/debian-edu/trunk/src/debian-edu-install
[http://ubuntulinux.org/ Ubuntu] uses a customised version of the DebianInstaller for their installation CD. Their live CD uses DebianInstaller as part of its boot process (details?). Their changes to the installer are available from arch, see [http://lists.debian.org/debian-boot/2005/07/msg00757.html this mail] for details.
[http://dccalliance.org/ DCC Alliance] uses d-i as the installer for their Debian-based distribution. It is not apparently changed much as of ["PR1"] except the addition of a newer kernel.
Dick Visser has produced sarge ISO images that support the Areca SATA controller. http://www.tienhuis.nl/areca/
[http://lliurex.net/home/va/node/347 LliureX] uses d-i as their installer. It is modified to use a special Catalan locale and translations are added. [http://mixinet.net/stoblog/2005/09/20#20050920-lliurex_installer Details]
[http://www.sw-linux.com/ Sun Wah's] distribution uses a graphical installer derived from d-i. These changes are in a subversion repository (where?) but have not been contributed back to the d-i developers.
Kenshi Muto produced a sarge ISO image that uses the 2.6.15 kernel. http://kmuto.jp/b.cgi/debian/d-i-2615.htm
[http://ebox-platform.com/index Ebox] uses d-i as the installer on their [http://ebox-platform.com/news?id=9 CD].
[http://freegeek.org Freegeek] made a customized d-i image called the [http://wiki.freegeek.org/index.php/Installer_CD Freekbox3],generated using ["Simple-CDD"].
If you have produced a customised image based on the DebianInstaller, please add it here. ["DebianInstaller/Modify"], ["DebianInstaller/Build"], ["DebianCustomCD"], and ["DebianInstaller/Preseed"] are useful resources.
